Are you always looking for the perfect shot like me? Then enjoy this post on the best Instagram spots in Venice and surroundings!
- RIALTO BRIDGE
The Rialto Bridge is one of the most famous places in Venice so you can’t miss a photo there! On both sides, it has points to make very instagramable photos like the ones I chose: on the one hand a balustrade to sit on and on the other a hidden corner where you will be able to take a photo without tourists with even the famous paline (the mooring poles) with colored stripes!
- ACQUA ALTA BOOKSTORE
The Acqua Alta bookstore is the most famous bookstore in Venice, and probably one of the most famous in all of Italy, inside there are gondolas that overflow with books and points for perfect photos like these two where you can sit on a staircase made of books or admire a Venetian canal by leafing through a book (or a Mickey Mouse as in my case!). You can also sit on the gondola tinkered in front of this opening, I avoided for seasickness!! Arm yourself with patience because the queue to take a picture is very long and possibly buy a book!
- SCALA CONTARINI DEL BOVOLO
To have a particular perspective on Venice, you have to climb the Scala Contarini del Bovolo, unfortunately we were unable to climb because we had to book in advance online and that day was all full! So don’t make the same mistake and book your tickets here at least the day before: Clicca qui per i biglietti
- ST. MARK’S SQUARE (PIAZZA SAN MARCO)
One of the most famous places in Venice is definitely Piazza San Marco, where taking a photo without tourists will be very difficult unless you get up at dawn! You could also use the beautiful pink street lamps as a background.
- CHIODO BRIDGE
It is one of the few bridges without balustrades, it isn’t exactly in the center so you will have to look for it. There are many photos from which to take inspiration on Instagram for example of couples sitting together on the edge.
- BEHIND MOISÉ HOTEL
This is a beautiful glimpse that I would never have found without Instagram! Follow the signs for the Moisè Hotel and you will find this beautiful corner on the left, wait for a gondola to pass to take a perfect photo.
- BRIDGE OF SIGHS
The bridge of sighs is one of the most famous in Venice, its name is said to derive from the sigh made by the prisoner who, exiting the Palazzo court, crosses the canal crossing the bridge to reach the cell where he will serve his sentence and can barely glimpse, through the small windows, the lagoon.
- THE ROYAL GARDENS OF VENICE
Before this last trip I had never heard of the Royal Gardens of Venice, yet they are located right next to Piazza San Marco! Very nice to take a break at the bar located inside and to take some pictures in the greenery.
- ANY CANAL OF VENICE!
Objectively any canal in Venice with the passage of a gondola allows you to make a perfect shot!
I know it isn’t really in Venice, but at a distance of only 30/40 minutes by boat you can easily reach Burano where every corner is instagrammable! I had dedicated a blog post entirely to the day trip to Burano and you can find it HERE
